Open Public Meetings Act and Public Records Act Notice
Posted on 03/25/2020
To help stop the spread of COVID-19, Governor Inslee passed a proclamation (Proclamation 20-28.5) on March 24, 2020 addressing the Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA) and the Public Records Act (PRA).

Governor Inslee has waved the OPMA requirement of having a public facility available for people to attend public meetings (Bonney Lake Council Meetings, Council Workshops, Committee, and Commission Meetings) in person. The City of Bonney Lake does have a listening only conference line available to the public in order to listen to the meetings live (408-740-7256, Meeting ID: 215767540#). No comments will be taken during the meetings.
Council Meetings/Workshops Comments: All comments must be submitted by mail to Attn: City Clerk, PO Box 7380, Bonney Lake, WA 98391 or by email to clerk@cobl.us at least one hour in advance of the meeting. Please indicate if you would like your comment to be read aloud.
Planning Commission Meetings Comments: All comments must be submitted by mail to Attn: Planning Commission Clerk, PO Box 7380, Bonney Lake, WA 98391 or by email to mcdonaldd@cobl.us at least one hour in advance of the meeting. Please indicate if you would like your comment to be read aloud

Also Governor Inslee has waved the availability for the public to view in person or to make copies in person of any Public Disclosure Requests. The City of Bonney Lake will still be accepting Public Disclosure Requests online through our website at www.cobl.us/publicrecords (for City Records), www.cobl.us/policerecords (for Police records), and www.cobl.us/courtrecords (for Court Records). With the City practicing social distancing and the stay at home order, some records are not easily available. We will process electronic records that we have available that are responsive to the Public Disclosure Request as soon as we can. If there are paper records that are responsive to the request, we will process them as we can get availability to them and/or have sufficient staff to process the request.

Thank you for all your support and understanding as we work together as a community to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
