The City will begin a proactive leak detection program in the north end of its water service area over the next several weeks, as part of ongoing efforts to maintain system efficiency and reduce water loss.
Crews will start work near the 190th Avenue East and South Tapps Drive area and will continue around the lake as the project progresses. The work involves inspecting water system infrastructure, including accessing meter boxes, to identify potential leaks that may not be visible above ground.
To ensure transparency and security, a City staff member will accompany the contractor throughout the duration of the project.
