SEWER DIVISION
General Information:
The City sewer system serves over 5,000 homes and businesses within the City of Bonney Lake's sewer service area. The City maintains 22 sewer lift stations and approximately 74 miles of sewer mains. The City of Bonney Lake partners with the City of Sumner for the treatment of the sewage at the Sumner Treatment Plant. The City of Sumner maintains and operates the plant and bills the City of Bonney Lake monthly for the service. In 2005, the upgrade and expansion of the Sumner Treatment Plant was completed. In 2006 4,400 feet of sewer line between Hwy 162 and Elhi Hill was replaced as a result of an emergency line break. This year we anticipate slip-lining the sewer pipeline between Hwy 162 and the Sewer Treatment Plant.
Sewer Rates:
The City Utilities Department is responsible for billing and taking payment for residential and business sewer use. For utilities questions please see the Utilities Page.
