Public Works Section Contents Public Works Administration The essential purpose of the Public Works Department is to plan, construct, operate, and maintain the City’s municipal infrastructure including utilities and roadways. Water The Public Works Water section is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City’s Water utility lines, meters and pump stations.  Streets, Fleets & Stormwater The Public Works Streets section is responsible for maintaining the streets and right of ways, Fleets is the City’s Vehicles and Machinery and Storm Water operations is responsible for maintaining the City’s Storm Water Utility.
