The City Administrator’s Office is part of the Executive Department. The city administrator is responsible to the Mayor for the general coordination and supervision of the activities of the various city departments and offices (BLMC 2.08.030(D)).

Meet the City Administrator:
Don Morrison has been with the City since 2004. Don has 30+ years experience in local government administration in Washington, Utah and Montana. He has a Bachelors of Arts degree in political science and education, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Marriott School of Management at BYU.
He has served as an Assistant to the Mayor of Logan, UT, and as City Administrator or Manager of the cities of Whitefish Montana, Tukwila WA, Fircrest, WA, and Carnation, WA. In addition, Morrison spent a number of years as the Executive Director of the Local Government Institute, and has served in interim management positions with the King County Library System, the International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and Treasurers (IACREOT), the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, and the City of Spokane Valley. He is the author of a number of local government related publications.
