Schedule
The Planning Commission meets on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. A special meeting may be called at any time, with notices posted not less than 24 hours in advance. The Planning Commission agenda is available one week prior to a meeting date. These meetings can be cancelled or changed, so please call the Planning Commission Clerk prior to attending. Meetings are conducted according to by-laws adopted by the Commission. Download the Planning Commission Bylaws.
Membership
The Planning Commission is comprised of seven citizens appointed by the Mayor to three year terms.

Planning Commission Responsibilities
The Planning Commission acts as the land use advisory body for the City Council and reviews and makes recommendations to the City Council on the City's Comprehensive Plan, Shoreline Plan, amendments to the SEPA and environmentally sensitive area codes, Subdivision, Zoning and Sign Codes. (BLMC 2.26)
Public comments, concerns and/or correspondence are strongly encouraged and may be submitted to the Planning Commission Clerk. You may submit your comments or concerns at any time by attending meetings or emailing the Planning Commission Clerk.
