Ordinances are legislative acts or local laws, prescribing general, uniform,
and permanent rules of conduct, relating to the corporate affairs of the city.
Ordinances are the most permanent and binding form of council action
and may be amended or repealed only by adoption of a subsequent ordinance. (BLMC 2.04.740)

Ordinances recently adopted by Council are listed on this page until they are incorporated in the Municipal Code online. Those ordinances still being considered are assigned a draft ordinance number, and can be found within the agenda packets of the meetings and workshops at which Council plans to discuss them.
